Artificial intelligence (AI) could replace the equivalent of 300 million full-time jobs, a report by investment bank Goldman Sachs says. It could replace a quarter of work tasks in the US and Europe but may also mean new jobs and a productivity boom.

Organizations should begin preparing for this future by training employees in new technologies and nurturing an environment that values creativity and human-centric skills. We must strive for a workplace where technology and humanity coexist harmoniously, each amplifying the other’s strengths.

Many believe that AI will become so advanced and cheap that hiring humans will simply be too expensive, eventually leading to mass unemployment as AI takes over human jobs and executes them with higher speed and accuracy.
